Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for knowing and adhering to the policies and procedures described in the Summer School catalogue or on this website, and in the student handbook. Student handbooks are available at 51 Brattle Street, and they may be downloaded (in three parts) from this website. (To download PDFs students must have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on their computers.)
- Download Part 1: Student Handbook and Guide to Computing (pages 1-27)
- Download Part 2: Student Handbook and Guide to Computing (pages 28-29, map)
- Download Part 3: Student Handbook and Guide to Computing (pages 30-56)
Failure to read the catalogue and student handbook, negligence, personal factors, or contradictory information from any sources are not acceptable grounds for seeking exemption from these policies and procedures. Students should refer to the student handbook, download a student appeal form, or call Academic Services at (617) 495-0977 for information on the appeals process. (To download PDFs students must have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on their computers.)
Change of Address and Personal Information
Students are responsible for notifying the Summer School of any changes to their biographical information (for example, changes of address or name changes) in order to receive important information such as course confirmations and PINs. Students who know their ID numbers and PINs may change their personal information online.
Students who do not submit changes online may submit them in writing to the Registrar. Changes in name or citizenship, or corrections to a student's biographical information (i.e., birth date), should be submitted via the biographical information changes form, which is available for download. Those with address changes only should download the change of address form. (To download PDFs students must have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed on their computers.) Both forms are also available at 51 Brattle Street. Changes should be sent by mail to the Registrar's Office, Fourth Floor; or by fax to (617) 496-4181.
