Teacher Institute
Harvard Summer School offers courses specifically designed to provide continuing education, professional development, and intellectual renewal and enrichment to K–12 educators. Because summer is also a period of vacation for teachers, these courses are brief and intensive. They combine content-based instruction with pedagogy by encouraging deep engagement with the subject, fostering discussions of instructional approaches to material and, in some cases, offering opportunities for curriculum development. Harvard Summer School Teacher Institute courses are offered for graduate credit and noncredit.
