Distance education allows students anywhere in the world to experience Harvard courses via the Internet. Lectures for some distance education courses are given on campus as well as online. Local students have the option of attending lectures or watching them online and generally attend weekly sections on campus. Students who take distance education courses solely online complete the same coursework and satisfy the same academic requirements as students who take courses on campus. Students who intend to take distance education courses online should register online.
2007 Courses
The following selection of eight-week courses are available online this summer. See Courses and Registration for complete information. Distance education courses are also available in the fall and spring terms through Harvard Extension School.
