About the School
A rewarding Ivy League experience awaits students at Harvard Summer School. Open enrollment courses, special programs, and a rich academic environment create numerous avenues for study and growth at America’s oldest and most prestigious university. People of all ages, from around the United States and more than 90 countries, learn together as they satisfy their intellectual curiosities, earn college credit, and explore historic Massachusetts and the excellent resources of Harvard University.

Courses
We have more than 250 courses, several of which are offered online. Many of our faculty members teach at Harvard schools during the academic year. There is an eight-week session and two intensive four-week sessions.

Programs
The Secondary School Program (SSP) is a selective college-level program for high school seniors, juniors, and sophomores.
Harvard’s more than 20 study abroad programs offer international learning opportunities in Asian, European, and South American countries.
The Institute for English Language Programs (IEL) offers English language instruction for nonnative speakers.
