By taking a course at the Harvard Summer School, you gain access to a number of helpful resources.
The Harvard College Writing Center is an invaluable resource for Summer School students looking to strengthen their writing skills. Peer tutors, who are Harvard College undergraduates, are trained to help you properly structure academic papers, develop critical ideas, and improve grammar and syntax. The center offers daytime tutor conferences by appointment Mondays through Fridays, from 10 am to 5 pm. You can make daytime appointments on the Writing Center website. Evening conferences are available on a drop-in basis Mondays through Thursdays, between 5 and 9 pm. The Writing Center is located on the garden level of the Barker Center at 12 Quincy Street.
Also available to students during the summer is access to computing resources in the Science Center and at 53 Church Street. Find out more in the Computer Accounts and Facilities section.
If you have a disability, the Summer School will ensure that you have equal opportunity to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from our academic and residential programs. Discover the range of disability services available and find out how to set up an appointment with a disability services coordinator.
With a host of academic and cultural resources, the Harvard campus is an enriching environment in which to learn. There are art and natural history museums, world-renowned libraries, and opportunities to access various religious communities.
Parking in Cambridge is extremely limited. You are encouraged to use public transportation instead of bringing vehicles to campus. If you do drive, permits are required for parking on Harvard University property; permits are valid for the seven-week session.
