Ukrainian Summer Institute

The Ukrainian Summer Institute is a rigorous seven-week academic program organized by Harvard Summer School and the Ukrainian Research Institute.

Participants enroll for 8 undergraduate or graduate credits, choosing from the following courses:

Academic offerings are supplemented with guest lectures by prominent faculty, roundtable discussions with visiting scholars on current events in Ukraine, and cultural presentations, such as screenings of contemporary Ukrainian films and readings by Ukrainian authors.

Application

You must be 19 years old or have completed one year of college to apply. Exceptional high school students may be considered through the Secondary School Program. Admission is based on your academic record, a letter of recommendation, and an essay.

Tuition

If you are accepted to the program, you pay the reduced tuition rate of $2,970 for 8 credits (compared to the typical Summer School rate of $4,950 for 8 credits). Scholarships lowering tuition costs further are available on a merit basis.
