It also introduces attitudes, values, and cultural patterns of contemporary life in Spain and Latin America through discussions of such things as news reports and art. The course is conducted entirely in Spanish. The course is best suited to students who already have a good grounding in the grammar of the language, but are not native or near-native speakers. Oral proficiency is not a prerequisite. Students meet outside of class with some frequency to complete group projects.
