Driving directions to Harvard Square
Note that parking in Cambridge is extremely limited.
Driving from South of Boston: Take I-93 North to exit 26 (Cambridge/Storrow Drive). Keep left at the end of the ramp and take the underpass to Storrow Drive. (Do not follow the Cambridge signs.) Continue along the river on Storrow Drive West for approximately 4 miles. You will pass the Massachusetts Avenue/Cambridge exit on the right and the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel on the left. Directly after the hotel and underpass you will see an exit on the right marked Harvard Square/Cambridge. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street. Harvard Square is approximately 1/2 mile straight ahead.
Driving from North of Boston: Take I-93 South to exit 26 (Storrow Drive/North Station). Keep left at the end of the ramp and take the underpass to Storrow Drive. (Do not follow the Cambridge signs.) Continue along the river on Storrow Drive West for approximately 4 miles. You will pass the Massachusetts Avenue/Cambridge exit on the right and the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel on the left. Driving from West of Boston: Take I-90 East (Mass Turnpike) to exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). Bear right after the tollbooth at the end of exit ramp. Turn left after the lights (before the bridge) onto Storrow Drive West. Continue along the river on Storrow Drive West for approximately 1 mile. You will see an exit on the right marked Harvard Square/Cambridge. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street. Harvard Square is approximately 1/2 mile straight ahead.
Driving from Logan Airport: Exit Logan Airport and follow the signs to the Ted Williams Tunnel and I-90 West (Mass Turnpike) to exit 20. Bear right after the tollbooth at the end of exit ramp. Turn left after the lights (before the bridge) onto Storrow Drive West. Continue along the river on Storrow Drive West for approximately 1 mile. You will see an exit on the right marked Harvard Square/Cambridge. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street. Harvard Square is approximately 1/2 mile straight ahead.
Driving directions to 51 Brattle Street and Gutman Conference Center
Follow John F. Kennedy Street to the third light and turn left onto Brattle Street. Move quickly to the right and veer sharply right, staying on Brattle Street. Proceed to number 51 on your right. Gutman Conference Center is the next building beyond 51 Brattle Street. See Parking and Transportation.
Directions by public transportation
The Harvard Square stop on the Red Line of the MBTA subway system is across the street from Harvard Yard.
From Logan Airport take the Silver Line bus to South Station; take the Red Line subway inbound to Harvard Square (6 stops).
From South Station take the Red Line subway inbound to Harvard (6 stops).
From North Station take the Green Line subway inbound to Park Street (3 stops); take the Red Line subway toward Alewife to Harvard Square (4 stops).
