Health Services
For on-campus residents, the outpatient facilities of University Health Services (UHS) in Holyoke Center are available 24 hours a day for urgent healthcare needs. Inpatient care at the UHS Stillman Infirmary is available for campus residents upon referral by a staff physician. UHS services such as X-rays and physical therapy are provided only in connection with acute care, as ordered by staff physicians. Patients are billed and held financially responsible for services not covered by their health insurance. You are responsible for the safekeeping of prescription medication you bring to campus.
The dental and eye clinics operate on a fee-for-service basis and are available only in cases of urgent need.
Medical care is also available at several nearby hospitals and medical centers, including Mt. Auburn Hospital, just minutes from Harvard at 330 Mt. Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, (617) 492-3500. Use of non-UHS facilities is your financial responsibility.
