Moving In and Out of Housing
Moving into housing
You must move in on Opening Weekend between 9 am and 6 pm on Saturday, June 22, or between noon and 4 pm on Sunday, June 23.
You are encouraged to arrive before 3 pm on June 22.
If you arrive in Cambridge before June 22, see the Cambridge Office of Tourism website for hotel listings.
See the Summer Arrival Guide for more information.
Student handbook
The Summer School Student Handbook is available in online services closer to the summer term; you will also be given a copy when you arrive. The handbook provides detailed information on the academic policies and rules of conduct that apply to resident and nonresident students. It also describes resources available at Harvard and in the greater-Boston area that will help make your summer a rewarding one.
You can currently read some of these policies and rules on the Harvard Summer School site in Student Responsibilities and Regulations.
Moving out
You should move out of your residence after you have taken your final exams. Residences must be vacated no later than noon on Saturday, August 10. Student ID cards and access to the residences will expire at this time.
There are no exceptions to these check-out times, so plan your travel arrangements accordingly.
