International Students

Courses for degree credit or career advancement

Earn Harvard credit to strengthen your university transcript. Or build career skills. Over 300 courses in many subjects are available for undergraduate and graduate credit, and noncredit. Several courses are offered online.

English language study

Improve your language skills through the Institute for English Language Programs.

High school program

Secondary School Program: our high school summer program welcomes applications from high school students who will graduate in 2012, 2013, or 2014. If you will be requesting an I-20international, apply to the program by April 11 (the I-20 requirements deadline is May 7).

English proficiency requirement

English proficiency is required for all Summer School courses except those offered by the Institute for English Language Programs. You meet this requirement by earning a designated minimum score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Learn more about the English proficiency requirement.

Visas

You are eligible for an I-20 certificate for the F-1 student visa if you are enrolled full time at Harvard Summer School. Learn more about visas and I-20s.
