In addition to open-enrollment courses, Harvard Summer School offers summer programs for high school students, university students interested in study abroad, and those interested in Ukrainian language and culture. These programs require application.
Programs for high school students
In the two-week Pre-College Program, high school students who will graduate in 2017 or 2018 take a two-week noncredit course and participate in college prep and social activities. Live on campus and enjoy a summer of discovery in the Harvard Pre-College Program.
If you are graduating from high school in 2016, 2017, or 2018 and are interested in taking summer courses for credit, you can apply to our seven-week Secondary School Program. Live on campus, commute, or study online and immerse yourself in a true college environment.
Full program information will be online in early November.
Choose from more than 20 study abroad programs in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Harvard faculty design and lead each program, offering five- to 10-week experiential learning opportunities for university students in the sciences, languages, humanities, and social sciences.
Ukrainian Summer Institute
Challenge yourself and study Ukrainian languages, history, politics, or literature. Take advantage of the Ukrainian Research Institute’s research and instructional facilities in the only program of its kind in North America. Program information will be online in January.
