Secondary School Program

Prepare for college at Harvard this summer

Wondering what college is like? See for yourself this summer in Harvard’s Secondary School Program. Experience Harvard for seven weeks, and take college courses in a subject area that interests you.

Information for 2015 will be available in December.

What you can expect:

College prep

Attending the Secondary School Program and performing well will strengthen your application to any college or university.

College prep workshops, college trips to nearby campuses, a college fair, and Harvard College student talks are all available.

In addition, you get a sense of what college life is like. The students in this video share what they learned while living on their own for the first time.

A full social calendar

By living on campus or participating in social activities like sports, a trivia bowl, and dances, you can make friends from all over the world. See what several past students have to say about the breadth of things to do.

Harvard courses for college credit

Alongside college and adult students, you can explore subjects not available at your high school and earn college credit in Harvard courses.

You study with distinguished faculty, use sophisticated labs, and conduct research in the largest university library system in the world.

In the following video, a former student talks about the experience of taking a college class at Harvard.

Who can apply

If you are a high school student who will graduate in 2015, 2016, or 2017, we welcome your application. Application and admission criteria will be online in early December.

The program runs June 20 to August 8, 2015.
