Funding

Harvard College students

Harvard College students are eligible to apply for funding through the Office of Career Services (OCS), as well as a variety of centers on campus. All Harvard Summer School study abroad programs qualify for funding through the OCS Summer Study Abroad Grant.

Consult the Harvard College Funding Sources Database for more information on all sources of funding. Consider dropping in for information on summer international experiences (including funding) Monday through Friday, from 2 to 4 pm, at OCS.

Deadlines. The OCS Summer Study Abroad Grant is a separate application.

To apply for any study abroad funding:

  • Provide budget information (sample budgets will be available on individual program webpages in December)
  • Submit an application through the Centralized Application for Research and Travel (CARAT) and supplementary documents to the relevant center, if necessary. Additional information on the funding application process is available through CARAT.

Also see the Harvard College Financial Aid Office summer school page for information about loan assistance.
