Register and Plan for Your Arrival

Register for courses

Registration for Harvard Summer School courses opens March 1. Most courses are open enrollment. But some programs and courses require application or have prerequisites.

  1. Review your options and requirements.

    – High school students (including 2012 graduates): to study at the Summer School, first apply to the Secondary School Program.

    – International students and nonnative English speakers: see the I-20 and visa guidelines and English proficiency requirement.

    – All students: note any prerequisites and placement tests, guidelines for limited-enrollment courses and waitlists, and other course requirements.

  2. Consider the costs.

    See tuition, housing costs, fees, and how to pay.

  3. Register for courses beginning March 1.

Watch for our arrival guide—available in mid-spring—to prepare for your summer at Harvard. And see the preparation steps you can begin now.

Opening Weekend is Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24.

Attend classes beginning Monday, June 25

When classes begin, you are expected to begin attending classes (or participating in online classes) at that time.
