Summer courses for credit

  • 300 online and on-campus courses to satisfy degree requirements and intellectual aspirations
  • Three-week courses, in two different intensive sessions, for students who want to learn on campus in a condensed timeframe
  • 60 subjects, including biology, chemistry, economics, and psychology
  • On-campus housing in a vibrant college city

Study abroad with Harvard

  • More than 20 programs designed and led by Harvard faculty spanning five to 10 weeks
  • Subjects include archaeology, biology, economics, and film studies

High school students

A two-week college experience 

In the Pre-College Program, high school students have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in classroom dialog and debate with Harvard instructors and fellow pre-college students, exploring topics like entrepreneurship, computer science, or law
  • Experience the Ivy League while living on campus with a pre-college cohort supervised by resident advisors
  • Build independence in a supportive, structured environment that helps students balance academics and extracurricular activities

A seven-week introduction to college life

In the Secondary School Program, high school students have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in rigorous college courses, earning college credit and building skills to excel academically 
  • Discover the true college experience, living in Harvard dorms and connecting with faculty and fellow students from around the world
  • Develop independence by learning to balance class, homework, co-curricular activities, and recreational endeavors
