Achieve Your 2017 Goals This Summer

Introduction to Environmental Problems and Solutions offers a broad overview of the critical environmental problems for both scientists and policymakers. The course explores climate change, industrial pollution, waste management, and species decline. Learn the key disciplines of environmental science, as well as their methodologies and approaches to knowledge production.

Marine Policy and Ocean Resource Management investigates the biology of the sea, focusing on the transformations and adaptations of marine systems as a result of fishing practices, elevated sea temperatures, and increased tourism.  

Design of Renewable Energy Projects teaches students the skills to design, fund, and implement renewable energy projects on a local or global level. Gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between energy and the environment, and best practices for engaging local communities on projects.

Intensive Introduction to Computer Science Using Java will kick start your knowledge of computer science by surveying elements of foundational programming concepts and data structures. You will gain a strong foundation for advanced study in the field.

Branding Strategy investigates the principles of brand management, focusing on planning, strategies, and tactics used by marketers. You will gain a strong understanding of successful global brands.  

Financial Accounting Principles is a collaboration with Harvard Business School Online, offering a rigorous overview of concepts including profit and revenue; assets and liabilities; and preparing and analyzing financial statements.

Introduction to Social Anthropology explores society, culture, history, and current events on a global scale. Explore diverse themes including ideology, land use, religion, social organization, and interrelations between local and international populations.

Introduction to African Languages and Culture through Social Engagement explores how Sub-Saharan Africans use language to communicate, with the intention of bridging academic theories with everyday practices. As a social engagement course, you will combine reading and lectures with personal involvement with the Boston-area African community.
